Soy creadora de joyas. Las joyas adornan hasta a los Budas. Me fascina el mundo de las piedras, pero sobretodo lo que más aprecio y por lo que me encanta trabajar en este oficio es por su uso terapeútico. A parte de la belleza de las piedras y la meditación y paz que produce crear joyas, la alegría que provoca a quien las luce, lo que más me ha gustado, han sido los lugares y las gentes que he conocido y las historas tan mágicas y maravillosas por las que he pasado, gracias a la joyería. Mi primer encuentro con el diseño de joyas fue en Antigüa Guatemala, cuando conocí a Johnny, un verdadero artista, quien hasta el día de hoy ha sido mi inspiración. Aprendí a crear joyería en Chiapas, México, por una amiga alemana llamada Yuta con quien vendíamos en la plaza de San Cristóbal rodeadas de gente preciosa de México y viajeros de otros países del mundo y entre los indígenas chiapanecos y sus hermosos telares, muñequitos de Marcos y espléndidos olores de ocote y colores vivos y perfectos, en medio de una absoluta paz y libertad para poder sentarse en la plaza desde las 8 de la mañana y retirarse con la puesta del sol. Recuerdo que mi primer trabajo con alambre de plata fue un colgante de cuarzo transparente. Desde que ví a Yuta creando arte con plata y piedras, sobretodo con el ámbar sentí un deseo muy grande por aprender. En Playa del Carmen, en la Quinta, nos reuníamos en un taller precioso con joyeros de varias partes del mundo en la tienda de un artesano famoso del área. Qué buenos momentos! Las piedras te transportan a mundos soñados, te da libertad para caminar por esta tierra y su energía es presente y eficaz. Hace 13 años me robaron mi taller entero de joyería, soplete, pinzas, plata, piedras semipreciosas y toda mi trabajo y no volví ha crear, hasta ahora, motivada por mi amiga Laura, quien es también artesana. Poseo sólo un set de pinzas y muy poco material, me siento como la primera vez que aprendí, empezando de nuevo, aflojando las manos y conectándome de nuevo con este maravilloso mundo que me apasiona: La Creación de Joyas! Sólo espero que la guerra de diamantes se termine, y que nos vistamos con joyas que traigan historias preciosas.

I am a jewelry creator. The jewels adorn even the Buddhas. I love the world of stones, but what I appreciate the most and why I love working in this job is for their therapeutic use. Apart of the beauty of the stones and meditation and peace that produces create jewelry , joy caused to whom wear them, which I liked the most, were the places and people I've met and the magical and wonderful stories i have been through, thanks to jewelry. My first encounter with jewelry design was in Antigua Guatemala, when I met Johnny, a true artist, who until today has been my inspiration. I learned to create jewelry in Chiapas, Mexico, by a German friend named Yuta with whom we sold in the plaza of San Cristobal surrounded by beautiful people of Mexico and travelers from other countries and among indigenous people in Chiapas and their beautiful looms, Marcos dolls and gorgeous pine smells and perfect colors, in the midst of absolute peace and freedom to sit in the square from 8 am and retire with the sunset. I remember my first job with silver wire was a quartz pendant. Since I saw Yuta creating art with silver and stones, especially with Amber I felt a strong desire to learn. In Playa del Carmen, in the Fifth, we met in a workshop with beautiful jewelry designer from around the world in the shop of a famous craftsman in the area. What good times! The stones transport you to dream worlds, giving you freedom to walk this earth and its energy is present and effective. 13 years ago my entire jewelry workshop, torch, pliers, silver, semi-precious stones and all my work was stoled, and I did not create, until now, prompted by my friend Laura, who is also an artisan. I have only one set of tweezers and very little material, I feel like how I learned the first time, starting back, loosening my hands and connect back to this wonderful world that I love: The Creation of Jewelry! I just hope that the diamond war finished, and that we dress with jewels to bring beautiful stories.
