Since AI (Harmony) is equal to AI (Love), I decided to name my unique budo Aikido, although the word aiki is an old word. The word warrior used in the past, is fundamentally different from the one I use.The AIKI not a technique to fight the enemy or to defend him, is a way to reconcile the world and make all human beings are one family. The secret of self AIKI is aligned with the movement of the universe and lead to an agreement with this one. Ya que AI (Armonía) es igual que AI (Amor), he decidido llamar a mi único Budo AIKIDO, aun cuando la palabra AIKI es una palabra antigua. La palabra que los guerreros utilizaban en el pasado, es fundamentalmente distinta de la que yo utilizo.
El AIKI no es una técnica para pelear contra el enemigo o para defenderse de él, es una manera de reconciliar al mundo, y hacer que todos los seres humanos sean una sola familia. El secreto del AIKI es armonizarse uno mismo con el movimiento del Universo y llevarnos a un acuerdo con éste mismo. El que ha conquistado el secreto del AIKI tiene al Universo en sí mismo y puede decir: "Yo soy el Universo.
Yo nunca soy vencido por un enemigo por más veloz que sea su ataque, no es una cuestión de velocidad por que la lucha ha terminado antes de haber comenzado. Cuando un enemigo trata de pelear conmigo, ya está derrotado, no se pelea con el amor". No hay medida alguna de tiempo veloz o lento. AIKIDO es no resistencia y ya que no resiste, es siempre victorioso. Los que tienen la mente desviada, una mente de discordia, ellos han sido vencidos desde el principio. Entonces ¿cómo es posible enderezar la propia mente desviada, purificar el corazón y estar en armonía con todas las actividades de todas las cosas de la naturaleza?.
Habría de hacer propio el corazón de Dios, Él es el gran amor presente en cada lugar y tiempo del Universo. No hay discordia en el amor, no hay enemigo del amor. Una mente en discordia, que piensa en la existencia de un enemigo, ya no es coherente con la voluntad de Dios. Los que están de acuerdo con esto (en la existencia del enemigo), no pueden estar en armonía con el Universo. El BUDO de ellos es destructivo, no es un BUDO constructivo. Por consiguiente, competir en las técnicas, la victoria o la derrota, no son verdadero BUDO.
El verdadero BUDO no conoce derrota. No ser nunca vencido significa vencer la voluntad de discordia en sí mismo (conflicto), significa cumplir la propia misión de dar. No es simple teoría, es práctica. Después, hay que aceptar la gran potencia de la unión con la naturaleza.
No miren a los ojos del adversario, porque vuestra mente será arrastrada. No miren su espada, por que serán matados por ella. No miren, porque vuestro espíritu será distraído.
El verdadero BUDO, es cultivar la energía (KI) con la cual atraer así todo el adversario. Para esto todo lo que tengo que hacer es mantenerme constante en la vía. También estar de espaldas al enemigo es suficiente. Cuando él ataca golpeándome, se herirá a sí mismo con la propia intención de golpearme. "Soy un todo único con el Universo y nada más. Cuando yo estoy parado, él será arrastrado hacia mí". No hay tiempo ni espacio delante de Ueshiba.
Ustedes se equivocan si piensan que BUDO significa tener adversarios y enemigos, ser fuertes y hacerlos caer. No hay ni adversarios ni enemigos para el verdadero BUDO. Es ser un todo único con el Universo, es decir, estar unido con el centro del Universo.
